Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Inaugurate International Conference on 'Future of Environment and Climate Dynamics' on September 19
Judicial representatives and environmental experts from 17 countries will gather for the two-day international conference held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate an international conference on the theme "Future of Environment and Climate Dynamics" at approximately 10:00 AM on September 19, 2026, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This two-day conference is being organized by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on September 19 and 20, 2026.
The conference will see the participation of distinguished judges and judicial representatives from 17 countries. Additionally, judges from the Supreme Court and High Courts of India, district court judges, secretaries of various ministries, senior government officials, and environmental experts will participate. Other stakeholders, including representatives from state judicial academies, State Legal Services Authorities, State Expert Appraisal Committees (SEAC), State Environmental Impact Assessment Authorities (SEIAA), and State Wetland Authorities, will also be present at the event.
This conference will provide a shared platform for the exchange of judicial perspectives, scientific knowledge, environmental governance systems, and the institutional experiences of various courts. The primary objective of the conference is to facilitate dialogue on critical environmental and climate challenges, including obstacles encountered in policy formulation, implementation, and enforcement. Furthermore, the event will explore methods to further strengthen environmental governance and institutional cooperation.
