Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation to Launch Special Campaign 6.0 with Focus on E-Waste Disposal
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation will conduct Special Campaign 6.0 from October 2 to 31, 2026, focusing on the effective collection and disposal of e-waste across regional offices.

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) of the Government of India has completed preparations for 'Special Campaign 6.0' aimed at the disposal of pending matters. The campaign will be carried out from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The primary focus of this upcoming phase will be the effective collection, segregation, and disposal of e-waste in regional offices.
The campaign is divided into two phases. The first 'Preparatory Phase' will run from September 15 to September 30, 2026, and the second 'Implementation Phase' will take place from October 2 to October 31, 2026. During these phases, emphasis will be placed on institutionalizing cleanliness and identifying pending matters within offices. This includes the identification of pending references received from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), VIPs, state governments, and Parliament. Additionally, the goal is to strengthen e-waste management and record management methods in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).
The Ministry also shared details regarding the achievements of the previous Special Campaign (SCDPM) conducted between November 2025 and August 2026. Monthly monitoring through the SCDPM portal resulted in the following outcomes:
A total of 5,617 physical and e-files were reviewed. 4,680 e-files were closed, and 467 physical files were weeded out. 61 cleanliness drives were conducted across the country. 426 public grievances and 65 public grievances and appeals were resolved. A sum of 34,105 rupees was generated through scrap disposal.
Furthermore, the Ministry has paid special attention to the disposal of parliamentary assurances and references from state governments and the Prime Minister's Office. MoSPI is committed to successfully implementing Special Campaign 6.0 in collaboration with all its attached offices, subordinate offices, and autonomous bodies.
